Sweet power of prayer

Had a humbling experience tonight... We had completely had it with Beck tonight (potty-training regression take two... enough said...), and I was the most frustrated I have been in a very long time. So when I was putting him to bed, I didn't feel like saying our prayers whatsoever. But we did anyway. And let me just say, right when we said amen, you could feel the difference. And Beck did too, because the next and sweetest thing he said was, "Can we say another one, Mama?" And we did, about five times over. And while I was searching for different things to help prompt him to say each time, I realized and felt a few things: how much more in-depth and vast my own prayers could and should be, and most importantly, the power of prayer! It really is a way for each one of us to talk to and draw closer to our Heavenly Father. After our handful of prayers, Beck calmly said, "I feel happy inside now," and went to sleep. Prayer is real, even a 3-year-old can feel it. ;) And none of us are ever too old to be reminded of it! :)

Thank you for sharing, my friend. What a beautiful story! Glad you were able to feel better. I feel your pain. Potty training is one of the hardest things! I couldn't imagine doing it with Audrie right now with Piper almost here. You're a brave woman!! Love you!
