Talking?

(Crappy phone pic, but doesn't he look like such a little boy here? This is when we went to get his one-year pics taken.)
Beck is growing up so fast! He's been babbling a ton the last few months, and says mama and dada, but this last week he's started mimicking other words, the first of which was "hockey." :) Cody (Adam's bro) was watching him and had one of the olympic hockey games on, and I guess the whole time we were gone Beck was walking around repeating it, "hockey, hockey, hockey." And then a day or two later I was reading him "Clifford's Bathtime" which has a rubber ducky in it, and he turned around in my lap to look at me and clearly said, "ducky"--with a look like, "I know how to do this, but it's so much more fun for you to try to get it out of me and then get so excited." :)

Anyway, it is exciting! I know other kids his age are saying words too, but it's so fun when it's your own! And talking makes them seem like such a little person, not just a baby! So crazy, and so fun. :)

Just wanted to share that little milestone!

Talking is my favorite milestone. Love hearing them verbalize what they want, feel, etc. :) Your right it just makes them little people instead of babies.
